Hak Industrial Services B.V. was established in 1988 and provides a range of specialised industrial, pipeline and inspection services to the (petro)chemical, refining and pipeline industries, during the whole plant lifecycle. The normal management approach has been to prioritise on a failure consequence basis, effecting the maintenance and inspection options. <br> Usage of intelligent pig inspection systems enhanced the perspective on the integrity of pipelines enormously. <br> <br> Unfortunately, not all pipelines can be inspected using intelligent pig technology, due to the pipelines origin. At the time the pipelines were laid, pigging and inspection services were not thought of. Pipes were laid to transport the product and how the pipeline was constructed was of minor importance.
